Smaken av Ryfylke is a waterfront restaurant in Hjelmeland where local ingredients, seasonal flavours and beautiful fjord surroundings come together to create a genuine taste of Ryfylke.

The menu is based mainly on locally sourced ingredients and changes with the seasons. Guests can choose from carefully prepared fish and meat dishes or experience more of the kitchen with the chef’s 4- or 6-course menu. The concept is all about showcasing the flavours of Ryfylke, combining regional ingredients and local food traditions with creative dishes.

Smaken av Ryfylke is also well suited for celebrations, groups, meetings and conferences. The venue includes a function room with capacity for up to 150 guests, as well as dedicated facilities for meetings and conferences.

Getting here by boat

One of the great ways to reach Hjelmeland is by boat. Public fast boats operate between Stavanger and Hjelmeland, making it possible to combine a visit to Ryfylke with a scenic journey through the fjords.
