Hike to Bekhilderen (the cave by the sea) in Telavåg
To enter the cave, you must visit at low tide.
The hike starts at Telavåg sports ground. Follow Telavågvegen down to the main road. Cross the road and continue along the pavement until you reach Selstøsjøen road. Head down here and turn left onto Håvardenvegen, then left again. Follow Håvardenvegen downhill. Pass through the chain barrier, after which the road becomes a gravel track. At the bottom of the hill, take the path on the left (there is a postbox here). Follow the cairn-marked path to Grunnevågen. Walk down the steps and turn right. From here, follow the cairn-marked path to the next junction, where a sign points to "Bekhilderen". Follow this path all the way to the cave. The route is marked with small cairns and red-painted spots on the rocks.
Make sure it is low tide before entering the cave. The rocks can also be slippery. Return the same way.
