Bruviknipa (822 m) on Osterøy – Up the Sherpa Steps
Bruviknipa, 822 m above sea level, on Osterøy. Locally known as Brøknipa.
At the car park, the trail is signposted "Brøknipa" and marked with yellow posts to the summit. The shortest route to the top is the summer trail. Impressive Sherpa steps have now been built here (2024). The trail is steep but has no exposed sections.
From the summit, there are spectacular views over Sørfjorden, and peaks such as Hananipa and Gullfjellet can be seen from entirely new angles. For an enjoyable circular hike, descend via Borgasetra (as shown on the map).
