Spectacular mountain hike to Gloppen's distinctive peak.

Eggenipa in Gloppen is one of the area's most photographed mountain formations. Rising 1,338 metres above sea level, it offers magnificent views. Start the hike in Øvredalen, about 3 km south of Byrkjelo. This is a challenging hike with some scrambling sections. Chains and ropes have been installed to hold on to in the most exposed areas.

The hike is not recommended for anyone with a fear of heights.

Parking

There are several parking areas along the road. This hike starts at the uppermost car park.
