About Feigefossen
Feigefossen descends the eastern side of Lustrafjord near the hamlet of Feigum. The principal free-falling section is about 218 metres, making the waterfall a dominant feature above the narrow shoreline road. It can be seen from across the fjord, while a local trail gives a much closer experience of the lower cascade and spray.
The approach begins near the public stopping area and crosses cultural landscape before climbing into rougher, wetter terrain. Flow is strongest during snowmelt and after rain; in dry weather the fall becomes narrower. The fjord-side road is confined between water, farms and mountain, so parking and pedestrian movement require care. The close viewpoint is not a level roadside platform and should be treated as a short hike.
Visiting Feigefossen
Use the signed local parking and follow the marked trail only if conditions and footwear are suitable. Expect wet ground and strong spray near the falls, respect farm access, and never leave a vehicle on the narrow fjord road.
