This is one of the most popular mountain peaks in Bjørnafjorden.

Although the mountain is not particularly high, it offers magnificent views across Bjørnafjorden towards Austevoll, Tysnes and Sunnhordland. There are many trails to the summit. The easiest route is via Moberglia.

Follow Kuvågveien uphill, turn right in the underpass and continue up Mobergslia. Follow the bends uphill until you see a farm on the left. Take the path along the fence across the field. Go through the gate and follow the trail marked "Storevarden 0.8 km" all the way to the cairn. Enjoy the view over Bjørnafjorden! Return the same way or take one of the many alternative routes for a longer hike.
