This is a long route to Hananipa, starting all the way down by the main road at Trengereid.

The route starts on a paved road before continuing along various trails that shorten the walk up towards Søre Skulstad. Continue on the trail towards the dam at Skulstadvannet. From here, turn left and follow the trail along the lake. After a while, the trail heads north up a hollow. Two signs along the way show you where to go. From here, simply follow the trail all the way to the summit.

There is no cairn on Hananipa. There is a logbook in an old tin where you can write your name. Enjoy the views towards Osterøy and Samnanger.
