Hike to DNT Vending (820 m) in Bergsdalen

The hike starts at the foot of Hamlagrøvatnet. Follow the road along the lake until you reach a cluster of cabins and the road becomes a trail. Follow the trail on the right-hand side of the river and cross the bridge. From here, follow the red-marked DNT trail south.

The trail is good, with bridges across the largest marshes. The ascent is steady. At the trail junction, turn right at the sign for "Vending". Follow the trail south across Heiane. The ascent remains steady, and one section runs alongside a steep drop, so take care. Cross Langagjelet and continue over the mountain pass down to Vending. You can see the cabin from a long way off.

From Vending, you can continue to Breidablikk. For a circular hike, head north past Vendingstjørn and follow the valley back. This trail is also marked.
