The hike to the summit is short, but offers beautiful views of the fjord from the top.
The trail starts just north of the car park by the motocross track at Rossland. Look for a small sign by the roadside. The trail climbs steeply until you pass the tree line. It then levels out somewhat before becoming steep again towards the end. You reach the summit cairn at 32ac4 m above sea level.
The Eldsbu day-trip cabin is located near the cairn on Eldsfjellet. For a longer hike, continue along the marked trail to Veten (290 m above sea level), which lies farther west on the mountain massif. The summit is clearly visible from Eldsbu.
