Himmelsyna is the highest point in the former Aust-Agder county and gives a broad panorama across the forests, lakes and low mountains of inland Agder. The marked route begins at Høgås ski arena and follows paths and open mountain terrain to the summit cairn. The published route is 11.3 km circuit, with 297 m of ascent; allow 4 hr. It is graded demanding and the recommended season is may–november. Park at Høgås ski arena, where the marked route starts.
