Hike to Madonnastien

Madonnastien follows a stone-built mountain path and roughly 2,000 steps to the Madonna and Child sculpture near Trillemarka. The route begins at Utvollane and climbs through forest and open terrain to a peaceful viewpoint over the protected landscape. The published route is about 6 km circuit, with about 250 m of ascent; allow about 2 hr. It is graded moderate and the recommended season is june–october. Use the parking area at Utvollane after the toll road; follow current local payment instructions.
