Rondeslottet is the highest summit in Rondane. From Rondvassbu, the route climbs through the saddle by Vinjeronden and continues over long, rough boulder fields to the top, where the view covers much of the national park and the Gudbrandsdalen mountains. The published route is 12.3 km return, with 1,154 m of ascent; allow 7 hr. It is graded very demanding and the recommended season is june–september. Park at Spranget; Rondvassbu is a further 6 km walk or cycle away.
