Hike to Store Batalden (492 m above sea level)

Hike to the highest peak among the islands off the coast of Florø. 

Store Batalden offers a fantastic hike with beautiful views. The trail to the summit is well marked with signs and red paint. The first section passes through two self-closing gates in fences on the south side of the lake, south of Kvernhushaugen. At Kruken, about 100 m above sea level, the terrain levels out before entering a rugged scree field. Above 350 m, the terrain becomes easier, and above 400 m, the trail climbs steadily and gently towards the summit. At the top, you will find a large cairn and fantastic views!
