Hike to Urdanipa (133 m) in Solund
Urdanipa (133 m above sea level) – Mountain peak on the island of Sula in Solund municipality, Vestland
This is an easy hike suitable for everyone. Park in a small roadside lay-by. Walk about 100 metres back (south) along the road until you see a sign on the left marked "Urdnipa". Locally, the peak is called "Urdnipa", but according to the Norwegian Mapping Authority, its name is Urdanipa.
A trail starts at the sign. It is faint in places but marked with small stone cairns. Follow the trail as it curves north through the small pass where the stream runs. Cross the stream and climb onto the mountain ridge. Follow the cairns northwards – you will soon see the summit.
The trail follows the ridge, climbing steadily to the cairn. From the summit, there are magnificent views north towards Alden, Bulandet and Askvoll. To the east, you can see Lihesten.
