Hike to Venelifjell

Venelifjell is a varied circuit from Vrådal through pine forest, past Venelitjørni and onto open mountain ground. The summit ridge gives views over Vrådal, Nisser and the surrounding Telemark mountains, while the return through Grytedalen completes the loop. The published route is 7.3 km circuit, with 323 m of ascent; allow 2 hr 30 min. It is graded moderate and the recommended season is may–october. Parking is available at the trailhead after the private toll road to Veneli.
