About Kleivodden

Kleivodden is a roadside viewpoint north of Bleik on Norwegian Scenic Route Andøya. From the headland, the view looks back toward the fishing village and its long beach while Bleiksøya rises offshore. The open horizon also places the low coastal landscape of Andøya against the Norwegian Sea.

The rest area uses a simple paved platform and seating to frame the view without requiring a walk over rough ground. It is wheelchair accessible and works as a short, contemplative stop rather than a large visitor destination. Weather is the dominant feature: clear conditions reveal the islands and coastline, while fog, wind and sea spray can reduce visibility quickly. The compact parking area is part of the viewing design and cannot absorb heavy overflow traffic.

Visiting Kleivodden

Use the designated rest-area parking and remain within the paved viewpoint in strong wind or ice. Spaces are limited, so do not wait or park on the scenic road if the area is full; check Andøya road conditions before travelling.
