Løvstakken (477 m above sea level) from Melkeplassen
This is one of Bergen's best-known mountain hikes.
From here, you will see a sign marked "Løvstakken". Follow the steps through the residential area to the football pitch where the Løvstien trail begins. From here, the path climbs steeply to Ravnefjellet, where it levels out. It then descends slightly before crossing a marsh. From there, it is a steady climb all the way to the summit cairn. The cairn on Løvstakken is 3 metres high and can be seen from far away. It was erected in 1945 at the initiative of Anton Berge, known as the “King of Gullfjellet”.
