Stemmesegga (573 m) on Osterøy
From the youth hall, head out onto the main road and turn right. Follow the road for about 300 metres to the sign marked "Stemmesegga" (on the left).
Walk through the farmyard and follow the forest road along the stone wall. Go through the gate (remember to close it) and past an old shack. From here, the route climbs steadily as you follow the forest road through spruce woodland.
When the terrain begins to level out, the forest road ends and you reach a large bog. Cross the bog, following the wooden markers. Continue gently uphill and across a smaller bog. From here, the path improves; simply follow it as it zigzags up the mountainside to the summit. The path is marked with wooden stakes all the way.
At the summit, there is a cairn and a summit log. There are beautiful views of Sørfjorden, with Garnes and Ytre Arna directly across the fjord.
There are many wet sections, so hiking boots that cover the ankles are recommended.
