Utslettefjellet (253 m) on Stord
From the car park, a sign points to Utslettetfjellet, 1.5 km away. The hike begins on a good trail leading towards the mountain.
The well-used trail follows Øykjedalen between Utslettefjellet and Altersfjell. It climbs all the way, running alongside and partly through the stream before turning southeast towards the summit of Utslettefjellet. The terrain is open, making it easy to find your way, but watch out for a few scrambling sections that can be very slippery after frost or rain.
At the summit, there is a sign and a post box. There are lovely views across Sunnhordland, and you can see Siggjo on the island of Bømlo. A day-trip cabin has also been built at the summit.
Returning the same way is recommended.
