The hotel is located at the top of the famous Flåm Railway (840 m above sea level) in Myrdal, high above the Aurlandsfjord, and can only be reached by train

You are surrounded by wild mountain scenery and have direct access to hiking trails and fishing spots by Lake Reinungavatnet. The hotel rooms face the mountains. A breakfast buffet is served every morning.
The Flåm Railway stops at Vatnahalsen Station, just 50 metres from the hotel. From Flåm, 20 km further down the valley, fjord cruises depart for the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Nærøyfjord.
The popular Rallarvegen runs through Vatnahalsen. This spectacular cycling route crosses the Hardangervidda mountain plateau and ends at the Aurlandsfjord.
In winter, the hotel is a popular starting point for ski trips, including both cross-country mountain skiing and ski touring. They offer many great packages including accommodation and guided ski trips. In summer, you can enjoy Rallarvegen and many wonderful mountain hikes in the area!
